FAQs

How many night-stays does the SaffronStays First Family Membership entitle me to?

The SaffronStays First Family membership entitles you to Complimentary stays at any SaffronStays home as per the chosen plan.

What are Weekend and Weekday Nights?

· Weekday Nights – Weekday Nights are defined as Monday- Thursday night bookings.
· Weekend Nights – Weekend Nights are either defined as Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights or public holidays (gazetted holidays as per Government of India).

Are there any Blackout Nights?

Blackout Nights – Blackout nights are from 22nd December till 2nd January of the following year. This applies ONLY for the Complimentary stays. There are NO blackout dates, if the member chooses to book using his/ her discount privilege.

What is the term of the membership? How do I renew my Membership, at the end of the term? Do I have to pay Joining Fee again?

We offer different membership plans ranging from 1 to 5 years. Please check your plan and invoice, for details. The joining fee is payable one-time and is valid lifetime for a Member, as long as the Member keeps renewing his/ her membership every year. Members can pay the then applicable Annual Membership Fees, to keep renewing their Membership. This Annual Fee is presently ₹49,999 per year (plus GST), and also includes one weekday and one weekend night complimentary for all Nominees.

What happens in case I have nights remaining after the membership expires?

Unfortunately, these unutilised Complimentary nights expire at the end of the membership term.

I have only one night available in my membership but want to travel for a 2-night weekend vacation?

That’s not an issue, you can avail the remaining night, and the rest will be billed as per your membership plan. In case you want to extend the membership, our Concierge Team (concierge@saffronstays.com) would be able to help you with that.

Is food included in the membership?

No, food is not included. All our properties have trained cooks, and meals are chargeable.

Will I get discounted rates, if my nights have expired?

Yes, your membership continues for the remaining term of your membership validity and you can avail an unrestricted number of stays at the discounted rate as per your plan.

What if I want a different combination of Weekend and Weekday Nights?

The membership plans have been specifically crafted considering the typical usage patterns of our Guests. Use the Weekday nights for your parents outings, spouses parties, anniversaries (that don't necessarily fall on weekends), or team offsites, etc.

Will I be able to access Partner Homes and X Series Homes?

No. FFC Members cannot redeem their nights or utilise their privileges for any Partner Home or X Series Homes or any future sub-brands introduced, unless specifically mentioned otherwise. Partner Homes, are Homes that are not managed and/ or controlled by SaffronStays.

Is there a Fair Usage Policy?

Yes, there is a Fair Usage Policy in place. Members cannot stay in one Home more than 3 nights in a Year. This is to allow all our members to get a fair chance at booking all homes. In case of the Complimentary stays that are part of your plan, this is 2 nights.

Do Members have access to all Homes, or are there any restrictions?

We are in the process of launching a few Secret Homes and Private Estates. Saffron Members get privileged access to these marquee Homes, at discounted rates, over others. Members have access to Silver and Gold Category Homes.

Does a Member need to be physically present during stay, or can he/ she book for someone else?

A member needs to be personally present during stay. Every year, we allow members (check your plan), to share this privilege with their friends, colleagues and business partners, for a defined number of nights.

What do discounts apply to?

Discounted rates apply for your accommodation charges, including extra guest charges. Discounts do not apply to Food & Beverages, Transportation, Cook Charges, Generator/ Diesel charges, if any.

What do you mean by "Share your Privilege"?

We understand that you desire to gift a night's stay to your parents, family members, friends, clients, top sales guys, etc. We allow Members to book and gift a stay (check plan for how many nights are allowed every year)

How many members can I nominate in my membership?

Check your plan for the maximum number of allowed members. These names cannot be changed once nominated. Any one of these nominees can avail of the membership benefits.

Can friends come together and take a membership?

Yes. :-)

Can I invite non-members along with me for the stay?

Yes, of course.

How many guests can I invite?

Complimentary STAY - The number of guests depends on your plan. The member does not pay any accommodation charges upto the number of allowed total complimentary guests as per plan. In case you would like to invite guests beyond the this number, members will have to pay the applicable charges per person, per night.

OTHER BOOKINGS - As per your booking. Any one of the members have be personally present.

Is my child included as a member?

Children below the age of 6 can travel free of charge. Children above 6 years have to be nominated as members or counted as individual non-member guests.

Can I transfer my membership to anyone else?

No, memberships aren’t transferable.

Do I or one of the members/ nominees need to be present at the property?

Yes, at least one of the members needs to be present with their membership credentials.

Once a Complimentary stay is booked, can I cancel or reschedule the booking?

Yes, you can cancel the booking up to 2 weeks before the date of check-in. A flat rescheduling/ cancellation charge of ₹ 5000 will apply.

How about the other bookings?

Standard Cancellation Policy applies. Check the specific home for its Cancellation Policy.

How many days in advance can I book?

Bookings open 3 months in advance for members.

Will the villa be shared with other guests?

No, the entire home will be booked for your group. You will be not be sharing the Home with other guests.

Is availability guaranteed?

Availability is on a first-come-first-serve basis amongst members. The membership itself offers members exclusive access to certain homes, and priority access to the rest. A limited number of memberships are being issued to assure access.

Do I need to pay a security deposit?

No. For most homes a member does not have to pay any security deposit.
