Cancellations, Refunds and related Policies

Guests are requested to read and understand the Cancellation, Refund, Relocation, Reschedulement and other Policies applicable before making a booking.

Please note, SaffronStays has 2 policies - standard and strict - to protect the interests of both Guest(s) and Home Owner(s), alike. Please check carefully, which Policy applies to the Home.

Standard/Moderate Cancellation Policy
  • In case a Guest has booked online on the website without any assistance from the Call Center, he/ she is entitled to a 24 hours FREE Cancellation policy from time of booking. Refunds into your bank accounts usually take 5-7 working days. This does not apply to a booking where Check-in date is 7 days from the date of confirmation of booking.
  • A Guest is entitled to a refund of 75% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking upto 15 days before the Date of Check-In (before 1 PM).
  • A Guest is entitled to a refund of 50% if he/she cancels the confirmed booking upto 7 days before the Date of Check-In (before 1 PM)
  • If the Guest cancels within 7 days of the Date of Check-In, he/she is entitled to no refund.
  • If the Guest has made a partial payment, he/she is entitled to no refund whatsoever.
  • Bookings for X Series Homes cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, and are non-refundable.
  • Cancellation for peak dates that is Diwali (21st Oct to 31st Oct, 2022) and Christmas and New year (24th Dec 2022 to 2nd Jan 2023) will not be accepted.
Strict Cancellation Policy
  • In case a Guest has booked online on the website without any assistance from the Call Center, he/ she is entitled to a 24 hours FREE Cancellation policy from time of booking. Refunds into your bank accounts usually take 5-7 working days. This does not apply to a booking where Check-in date is 7 days from the date of confirmation of booking.
  • After this 24 hour window passes, bookings for Homes that have the Strict Cancellation Policy cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, and are non-refundable.
  • If the Guest has made a partial payment, he/ she is not entitled to any refund whatsoever.
  • Bookings for X Series Homes cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, and are non-refundable.
  • Cancellation for peak dates that is Diwali (21st Oct to 31st Oct, 2022) and Christmas and New year (24th Dec 2021 to 2nd Jan 2022) will not be accepted.
Special Covid19 Cancellation Policy

    In case the primary guest or any other registered members in the group test positive for covid, SaffronStays shall do the following

  • The request for any changes to the booking under covid policy will be accepted only if all the group members are registered under the booking ID and they submit the positive RTPCR report.
  • If the report is submitted more than 7 days prior to the check-in SaffronStays will initiate a travel credit for the booking amount. This can be used within a year for future travel on SaffronStays website.
  • If the report is submitted 72 hrs prior to check-in the guest can reschedule their stay on any non peak weekday (Long weekends, Public holidays, Diwali, Christmas - New year period etc are not allowed) within the next 3 months. If the tariff for the new dates is higher the guests will have to bear the difference in tariff.
  • No cancellation/ reschedule/ travel credit requests will be accepted even under Covid policy within 72 hours of check-in.
  • In case of a booking being cancelled because of a lockdown imposed by local authorities or travel restrictions being introduced, Guests have a choice of a reschedule on any non peak days within the next 6 months, or 100% in the Form of Travel credits (validity of 6 months from date of issuance).

    Please Note::

  • For this policy to be applicable, Guests need to provide a recent Covid19 positive certificate for any of the registered Guests.
  • If the Guest has made a partial payment, he/ she is not entitled to any refund whatsoever.
  • Bookings for X Series Homes cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, and are non-refundable.
  • This special Covid19 Policy does not apply to Homes that have the "Strict" cancellation Policy.
Terms & Conditions
  • In case of any refunds that SaffronStays owes Guest(s), the processing shall be completed within 5-7 working days. A nominal cancellation fee of 5% shall be levied for refunds processed by SaffronStays. This is primarily levied to cover payment gateway charges and minimal processing charges.
  • GST at applicable rates will be charged on this cancellation fee.
  • A reservation is considered officially 'cancelled' when the guest clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Your Trips > Cancel, or he/she calls our Reservations Agent and confirms the same.
  • If the guest checks-in and decides to leave early, any refund of the accommodation fee and cleaning fee will be decided and settled as considered appropriate by SaffronStays.
  • Bookings for X Series Homes cannot be cancelled, rescheduled, and are non-refundable.
Refund for Extra Guests:

In case of any change in group size, the extra bedding charges collected can be refunded if intimated to SaffronStays minimum 2 days prior to check-in. As with all refunds a 5% processing fee shall be levied for processing the refund. No refund for extra bedding charges shall be processed if informed within 2 days prior check-in or after check-in.

Cancellation by SaffronStays: Saffronstays will provide one of the following options.
  1. SaffronStays reserves to right to cancel a booking
  2. Book an alternative comparable available Home
  3. SaffronStays shall offer Travel Credit (validity of 6 months from date of issuance) of the full amount paid + 10% value of the existing booking that may be redeemed while booking a new home.
  4. A full refund for the total amount paid. The refund shall be processed within 5-7 working days from the date of cancellation.
Reschedule Policy:

SaffronStays allows reshedulement only upto 15 days before the Date of Check-In (before 1 PM).

SaffronStays charges a 30% Reschedulement Charge + Taxes for any bookings that may have to be rescheduled.

If the tariff on the dates to which the booking is being rscheduled to, is higher than the tariffs of the original booking, the difference is payable to SaffronStays (along with applicable GST), along with the Reschedulement charge.

The new booking can only be made on the same Home during any non-peak weekdays, check-In applicable upto 2 months from the original Date of Check-In.

Reshedulement charge is applicable, every time the booking is rescheduled.

Relocation Policy:

Relocation (to another Home) is not permitted, once a booking is confirmed.

Early Check-in and Late Check-out Policy:

Our standard check-in time is 1 pm and check-out time is 10 am.

We'd be happy to offer you a complimentary early check-in by 12 noon, provided there's no booking at the villa for the previous night. Please confirm with us a day prior to the check-in. In case you wish to avail an earlier check-in (earliest possible is 9:00 am), charges are applicable. The rate is 20% of the tariff for that night.

We'd be happy to offer a complimentary late check-out by 11:00 am if there's no booking at the villa on the day of your checkout. However, we can only let you know by 8 am on your checkout date as we do accept instant online and last-minute bookings.

In case you wish to avail a further extended checkout (post 11:00 am), charges are applicable. The rate is 20% of the tariff for that night for a Checkout up to 3 pm, and 40% upto 6 pm. Full night charges apply thereafter.

It is at the discretion of SaffronStays, whether to offer early check-in or late check-out.

Processing Refunds

In case of any refunds that SaffronStays owes Guest(s), the processing shall be completed within 5-7 working days.

A nominal cancellation fee of 5% shall be levied for processing refunds by SaffronStays. This is levied to cover payment gateway charges along with a minimal processing charge.
